Map of our travels

We’re finally off on our first foreign birding trip since 2019!  Bob and I are going to Viet Nam for the month of January, along with my sister, Hilary, and David Bishop, who took us to Thailand, Papua New Guinea, Bhutan, and Madagascar, will be leading us.  There will be birds, plus a bit of history, and, of course, butterflies, plants and a few mammals.

Hilary and I will write the blog together, or alternate days...we'll figure it out!

If you’d like to follow along, you can access the blog at:

We will also email the blog to you, if you find that easier.  And, of course, feel free to punch “delete” anytime!

The map below of our route from Hanoi to Ho Chi Mihn City is from “Birds of Vietnam” by Craik & Minh, annotated by Hilary.   The numbers are the prime birding spots in Vietnam, many of which we will be visiting.
